Hello - Fri, Feb 16, 2024
Hello. You probably know who this is. After some fiddling with servers I’ve finally managed to set up a blog based on hugo and nginx (though I intend to migrate this to YAWS at some point in the future). The way I’ve got things wired up means I am (at the moment still manually, gonna automate it asap) building this directly from part of my Zettelkasten.
What to expect here
This is my highly personal, opinionated, and, most importantly own blog. What I post here is going to be a huge assortment of different content about my hobbies, personal life, philosophical musings, tech, maybe some artistic content. Basically think of this as finding my personal computer and trying to piece together what I’ve been up to.
But why?
Those who’ve been following me on social media might have noticed that I tend to be fairly quiet there. I think this is, mostly at least, due to the fact the traditional short-attention-span-million-things-bombarding-your-senses style of microblogging really doesn’t agree with the way my head works and I don’t particularly want to break up my long-winded thoughts for the sake of having easily digestable chunks of information or monologue-threads that could just as well have been blog posts.
So.. how much stuff am I gonna post here?
I expect to post here fairly frequently, hopefully >=weekly, at least initially, since, as I already mentioned, I am deploying this blog more or less directly from the Zettelkasten I have open on my laptop pretty much all the time. Some of the stuff is gonna be fairly polished and thought through while other bits will be copied over from my Zettelkasen without much in the way of refinement, taking the shape of notes, memos, scribbles, lists of bulletpoints and other things you’re likely to find on someone’s personal computer.
